Osinbajo Will Run – OSM Osinbajo Support Movement

OSM Osinbajo Support Movement (OSM) has noted that Prof Yemi Osinbajo will run for the presidency in 2023, particularly contest primary under APC. The group’s national coordinator, Mr Liberty Badmus in a statement made available in Abuja acknowledge that the VP is eminently qualified to contest for ticket under APC. He also noted with confidence that Prof Osinbajo is the “best shot for APC at the moment”. “When we draw close look into the political temperature of the country, everyone can see and acknowledge that Prof Yemi Osinbajo is the best shot for APC at the moment. He is qualified, experienced and sound to run for the number one seat of the country. Nigerians of goodwill have shown him the needed support, he is getting more everyday from every corner of the country, even from the opposition. Wherever he show up at any public outing, you see people trooping out is hundreds and thousands to cheer him up. They are not mobilised crowds, they are real and are out for their love at their choice. We will observe that kind of endorsement is rare and massive. Very rare”. “Tracing his antecedents, as we have always set straight, he has handled major and fundamental assignments, and the results has not been short of overwhelming and standard. As Anthony General and Commissioner for Justice of Lagos State, on various accomplishments as a lecturer and an academia, as a lawyer on various victories in courts on the most unimaginable court cases in the history of the country, and as Vice President who has run the nation with President Muhammadu Buhari and head various oversight duties to the credit of the administration and the Federal Government of Nigeria.” “We could not be more proud of him. And this is to say that he will run for President in 2023. All these achievements can manifest in a broader scale. Nigerians can not afford to settle for something less. It is in the spirit of more progress and development that Nigerians seek that projects the candidacy of Prof Yemi Osinbajo.” Mr Badmus assert that Prof Osinbajo is loved across board and he is a better candidate than any other one showing interest within the APC and in the opposition. He noted, “The fact that he is the sitting Vice President gives him an edge and qualifies him. We have noted with confidence his achievements that can not be watered away in decades to come. They are lifelong. As well, looking reflectively in the APC, we will see that those who have also shown interest to run for President do not match the hefty profile of Prof Yemi Osinbajo. There is no illwill against anyone, it is not in the character of Progressives to cast aspersions on anyone within or outside APC. This is us setting clear and straight record and stating facts in the public realm. The Vice President holds Asiwaju Tinubu with deepest respect and he will continue to do that. But, this is a democratic setting and Asiwaju also holds true to the basic tenets of democratic assemblies. We strongly believe Prof Yemi Osinbajo will clinch the APC ticket and everybody will come together as a one big family and Progressives to see to the eventual victory in national elections.””In the PDP, nobody can equal a side-by-side comparison with the VP not to talk of surpassing him. We have read on our mainstream media and newspapers about the names of persons coming up to show interest for President in 2023. These are individuals who have no credible name or antecedents to sell to Nigerians. They are characterised with history of embezzlement, endemic corruption, mismanagement of the nation’s resources, contributed to the clamp down of the polity, et al. They can not be trusted again. Frankly, background checks on these persons is troubling and worrying. Whoever wins the party ticket, Prof Yemi Osinbajo will comfortably defeat at poll.” Urging the lovers and ardent believers of Osinbajo to remain strong and continue to propagate the gospel, Mr Liberty posits, “OSM is strongly aware that Nigerians and patriots are massively behind Osinbajo as President. We have millions of our members cut across the length and breadth of the nation, of all tribes, ethnic nationalities, religions and creeds. They should keep mobilising, organising, volunteering and showing up. Prof Yemi Osinbajo will not disappoint. He will run for President.”
